Funding Support

Rural Health West is committed to supporting rural health professionals attending the Aboriginal Health Conference 2026.

We offer funding support through different programs to make participation more accessible, fostering opportunities for connection, learning and sharing insights that strengthen rural healthcare in Wester Australia

Health Workforce Scholarship Program

Scholarships or bursaries are available for medical, nursing/midwifery, dental, allied health and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers providing primary health care services in rural and remote Western Australia in private practice, an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS), Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) or non-government or not-for-profit organisation.

You are not eligible if you are employed solely by the State Government.

To apply for HWSP funding, you must meet to the eligibility requirements. The full eligibility requirements and exclusions are detailed on the website here.

Future Workforce Sponsorship

Rural Health West is offering to sponsor registration fees for a limited number of allied health students, medical students and junior doctors to attend the Aboriginal Health Conference 2026. Sponsorship will cover conference registration fees valued at $350.00.
